Rihanna is a celebrated musician, who is frequently associated
with saying and acting the way she feels. However, recently in an interview for
the Vanity Fair, the high flying music celebrity gave an astounding perspective
about Rachel Dolezale – the white lady civil campaigner who asserts to be born
black. Rihanna said that Dolezale is an eye opener and made great steps to
bringing out the hidden value of the black people.
Through her expose, by her parents about her true ethnic
group – being born white, Dolezale brought back the subject of the black Americans,
however in a completely different way. In this regard, Dolezale suffered
immense social media bashing and shaming that left many people taking different
sides. Nonetheless, Rihanna made her view known by stating that it is the high
time Dolezale was respected for her efforts in campaigning for the rights of
the black American community.
Rihanna castigated the people who claimed that Dolezale did
a wrong thing to pretend being black and insisted that being black is a
wonderful thing and should be appreciated at least for once. Rihanna’s contribution
to this subject raised a number of responses on Twitter that still showed
divided views and perspectives that people around the world still hold about
Dolezale’s American activism and black American image portrayal.
