The Songs Obama Danced to in Kenya

President Obama’s two day trip to Kenya in July 2015 was one of a kind, which got many Kenyans talking all day long. Apart from the political issues that the president of America mentioned and the presidential commitments, he left many surprised when he joined Sauti Soul to dance to Kenyan songs.
When the President of the United States of America took to the dancing floor, the stage was dazed, everyone started clapping and the president of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta could not help but join Obama in the dance as fast as he could.
Nairobi was taken by surprise when the president of the United States of America used commonly used Swahili phrases in Nairobi, such as Hawayuni that means “How are you guys”, Habari Yako that means “How are you”, Mambo vipi that means “How are you fairing on?”. But, what still remains vivid in peoples’ minds are the songs that he danced to that were full of life, for example, Lipala Dance by the famous Sauti Soul.
Up to now Obama’s presence in Nairobi Kenya can still be felt by people across the divide and many have taken to adopting new ways of life. Apart from many mothers in Nairobi choosing to name their children synonymously with the president’s visit, car and jet, such as TheBeast Otieno, Airforceone Omondi and Obamavisit Atieno, many have made great business strides. This is a sign of great inspiration and motivation from the Kenyan American President – Obama.
