Husband is lucky to be alive after a wife attacked him with a panga in Nyeri Kenya!!!

I was travelling in the morning to go to work and could not help laughing at Mwalimu King’an’gi’s statements on Classic 105 – the feel good station. He said that Mr. Simon Kiguta, 40 was battered, let me put it right, he was slashed with a panga and the final result was his extremely stitched face, and “… like he was advertising Barbed wire” Mwalimu explained.
God have mercy upon us, men in Kenya; “… like an ad telling us that we should know how much bad we can become when we play with barbed wire!” He continued.
But this issue of women battering their husbands is taking the better part of the day by storm. What is not happening? Are our women going berserk?
We have come all the way in history where women respected their husbands whatsoever and laying a hand on him was and is a taboo. But where are we now?
Let me take for example in Uganda; women go on their knees while serving a man. I am not talking of slavery or male chauvinism here but the levels which respect can take us: Forward or backwards.
Maendeleo ya Wanaume is up in arms on the other hand to at least speak on behalf of the voiceless men. Kudos! Mr. Nderitu Njoka for a job well done. We are always on your back. But, women please, stop this habit because we shall be jumping from Post election violence-frying pan to the evil hands with fire of our women – Wives.
We will die from being battered.
